Welcome

After the success of the first meeting, Villa Bella Clinic is back again with “The Big Challenge – The War of the Noses”, an innovative Congress on Rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty is a fascinating procedure about which most things have already been said, but there are still lots of issues to discuss and a question that swirls around in our heads:
open or closed approach?
According to the latest literature and to the most influencial voices in this field, there seems to be no doubt: open wins over closed. But…are we so sure? Why, in the era of minimally invasive surgery, does rhinoplasty seem to be going against the flow? Is the transcolumellar scar really always essential? We intend to see, through the work of some of the most well-known surgeons in the World, if there is still room for the closed approach in the 21st Century.
We will select 4 pairs of similar cases (8 patients all together, hopefully some twins) to be operated upon by surgeons of the open and surgeons of the closed teams, in a “struggle of the scalpels”. Each surgeon will strongly defend his preferred approach and describe his reasoning in detail.
During the first two days there will be live surgery in the morning and presentations and round tables in the afternoon. The last day will be entirely devoted to lectures and discussions. This Event will be held in Gardone Riviera, lake Garda, Italy, 21-23 September 2018. It is one of the most beautiful locations in Italy, and a dream venue for the meeting and social program. Places are limited, so hurry and register now!
